#3 – Transformation ist vielfältig – auch die vermeintlich kleinen Dinge sind wertvoll

#3 – Transformation is multifaceted – supposedly small things are valuable

Transformation Key Success Factors number 3: Transformation is multifaceted – supposedly small things are valuable.

It doesn't have to be the colonization of Mars in the first step. After all, even the longest journey begins with the first step.

The big, comprehensive solution that collects all the data from the production process is of little use if the organization doesn't know what to do with the data. Or the digital highly automated sales channel using AI and a ChatBot, if the subsequent internal process steps run analog and thus slowly.

The organization, the people must be taken along on the transformation journey (see also #7). So it's better to start with small steps first, warm up and learn. For example, the increase in efficiency gained through electronic travel expense reporting creates the necessary scope for the next steps in the transformation.

#2 – Wenn man nicht zu den ersten gehört, dann reagiert man schnell und konsequent

#2 – If you are not one of the first, better react quickly and consistently

Transformation Key Success Factors number 2: If you're not one of the first, better react quickly and consistently.

You can't be at the forefront of every subject. No organization can provide that much personnel and financial capacity. You can be very successful in the role of the fast follower. After all, it's enough that the wheel was invented once. This role requires being attentive and open, to recognize the important trends and pulses. One must not be afraid to adopt the wheel, even if it is not invented here.

Being able to react quickly and consistently, to play the role of a true fast follower, you must be able to release personnel and financial capacities on short notice.

#1 – Nach der Transformation ist vor der Transformation

#1 – After the transformation is before the transformation

Here is number 1 of our series Transformation Key Success Factors After the transformation is before the transformation.

It is not without reason that the saying “Nothing is more constant than change.” Once one transformation has been successfully mastered, it usually doesn't take long before the next change is just around the corner.

Take the music industry, for example: After the transformation from analog LPs and MCs to CDs, additional formats for marketing such as music videos and ring tones followed. And via music downloads, we finally landed on streaming. Digitalization (CD) was followed by other sales channels (music download) and a different business model (streaming)

What comes next? After the transformation is before the transformation.
